The Chairman, Kabba/Bunu Local GovernmentArea, Zacchaeus Dare Michael has imposed a dusk-to-dawn curfew in Kabba and its environs, citing rising insecurity in the area.
The curfew, which takes effect from Monday, September 22, 2025, restricts motorcycle and tricycle operators to operating between 6 a.m. and 7 p.m. daily, while the movement of persons and goods is limited to between 6 a.m. and 8 p.m.
Michael explained that the decision was informed by incessant killings in neighbouring Yagba East and Yagba West LGAs, which have heightened fears of instability in Kabba/Bunu.

He revealed that security operatives have been deployed across Kabba/Bunu to maintain order and vowed to personally lead operations to flush out criminal elements from their hideouts.
“The directives are for our good, regardless of the inconveniences they might cause. I have directed security agencies to ensure strict enforcement of the order,” the chairman added.
Michael urged residents to remain calm and cooperate with security personnel, assuring them that his administration is committed to safeguarding lives and property across the local government.
