The Ooni of Ife, Oba Adeyeye Enitan Ogunwusi, paid a courtesy visit to the Olubadan-designate, Oba Rashidi Adewolu Ladoja, at his Bodija residence in Ibadan, Oyo State, ahead of his coronation.
The visit, which took place on Sunday September 21, 2025, was attended by prominent personalities, including members of the Olubadan-in-Council and Ibadan Mogajis.

During the visit, the Ooni praised Ladoja as a symbol of resilience and fulfillment, highlighting his distinguished service in politics and traditional leadership. He noted that Ladoja’s life reflects the adage “what you sow is what you reap.” The Ooni also urged the people of Ibadan to maintain peace before, during, and after the coronation, which is expected to attract high-profile dignitaries, including President Bola Tinubu and former Vice-President Atiku Abubakar.
As a token of unity and friendship between the thrones of Ife and Ibadan, the Ooni presented a symbolic artifact to the Olubadan-designate.
