Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma has declared that APC governors remain united in backing President Bola Tinubu’s security agenda, stressing that their collaboration is vital to ongoing efforts to restore peace nationwide.
Uzodimma, who chairs the Progressives Governors’ Forum,PGF, set out this position in a statement issued by his media office in Abuja on Friday.
The statement explained that the governor led a delegation of APC governors on a visit to the Kebbi Government.
The visit formed part of a broader show of solidarity with President Tinubu and provided an opportunity for the governors to restate their commitment to supporting federal initiatives aimed at strengthening security and protecting Nigerians.
Uzodimma emphasised that improving national security requires shared responsibility and coordination between federal and state authorities.
He noted that the governors recognise the importance of working in partnership with the federal government to tackle emerging threats and ensure the safety of communities.
The governor paid tribute to the dedication and sacrifice of servicemen and women across the country.
He described their efforts as central to ongoing attempts to safeguard lives and property, adding that their work continues to form the backbone of national security operations.
The statement further highlighted Uzodimma’s commendation of ongoing improvements in intelligence-led operations, rapid response systems and civil–military cooperation.
He stressed that these enhancements are essential to refining current strategies and increasing the effectiveness of security agencies.

Uzodimma pointed out that sustainable peace requires more than security enforcement.
He reiterated the governors’ belief that long-term social and economic measures must accompany decisive security actions to address the root causes of instability in various communities.
He pledged that APC governors would maintain close collaboration with the Tinubu administration to ensure that security-related policies reach the grassroots.
He added that the governors remain committed to ensuring that successful interventions are adopted across their states and contribute to broader national stability.
Uzodimma described the united stance of the governors as a reaffirmation of their determination to play an active role in helping the federal government restore peace and build stronger, safer communities across the country.
