Nigerian Afrobeat singer David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, has begun constructing his Eko Atlantic mansion.

Moving away from the typical celebrity enclaves of Lekki and Banana Island, Davido’s mansion, the “Omo Baba Olowo,” is reportedly a 16-bedroom palace designed for himself and his wife, Chioma.

The architectural theme is said to blend Caribbean and Mexican aesthetics, offering a beachfront view that reflects his global lifestyle.

David emerged over a decade ago with the song “Dami Duro.” he has since transitioned from a local sensation to a global powerhouse.

His influence on the Afrobeats genre is undeniable. Davido successfully bridged the gap between African rhythms and Western pop music.

He has multiple platinum certifications, sold-out shows at the O2 Arena, and a discography that boasts billions of streams. Davido has consistently used his platform to project Nigerian culture to the world.

Born in Atlanta, Georgia, Davido is the son of billionaire industrialist and philanthropist Dr. Adedeji Adeleke.

The Afrobeats star grew up in a household synonymous with wealth and political influence in Osun State. David was afforded every privilege, yet he chose to forge a legacy independent of his father’s immense shadow.

While his background as an “Omo Baba Olowo” was initially a point of conversation, David has successfully rebranded that identity into one of personal enterprise and hard work.

While his father’s wealth provided a safety net, Davido’s hustle in the music industry earned him his own seat at the global table.

From his breakout hit “Dami Duro” in 2011 to global anthems like “Fall” and “If,” he has become a pioneer of the Afrobeats movement.

His career highlights include international charts: “Fall” became the longest-charting Nigerian pop song in Billboard history.

Winner of BET Awards, MOBO Awards, and multiple Headies. Founder of Davido Music Worldwide, which has raised some of Africa’s biggest stars, like Mayorkun.

His father, the founder of Adeleke University and a major player in the Nigerian energy sector, remains a pillar of support, but Davido’s personal net worth, estimated at over $100 million, is a testament to his own commercial acumen.

After already owning a mansion in Banana Island and multiple properties in Atlanta, this new project proves that for Davido, the ceiling for luxury simply does not exist.
