President Bola Tinubu has congratulated the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Alhaji Mohammed Idris, on his 60th birthday, describing him as an excellent communicator.

The congratulatory message is contained in a statement personally signed by the President on Friday in Abuja.

“I heartily congratulate Mohammed Idris, the Minister of Information and National Orientation, on his 60th birthday on May 2, 2026,” Tinubu said.

The president described Idris as a professional public relations executive and media leader who has contributed immensely to the sector.

He said the minister had brought finesse, credibility and gravitas to public communication in the administration.

The president noted that Idris distinguished himself in the media and public relations industry before joining the government.

He cited his roles as founder and publisher of Blueprint Newspapers and chairman of a public relations and broadcast media outfit.

Tinubu also praised Idris’ service as General Secretary of the Newspaper Proprietors’ Association of Nigeria.

He described him as a patriot and valued partner in nation-building.

“I commend Mohammed for his diligence, brilliance and doggedness in communicating the achievements, policies and programmes of our administration,” the president said.

Tinubu said the minister had remained steadfast in promoting the Renewed Hope Agenda across the country.

He encouraged Idris to continue his efforts in public communication and national orientation.

The president joined family members, friends and associates in wishing the minister good health and more years of service to the nation.
