Barcelona have been presented with an unexpected opportunity in the transfer market after Victor Osimhen’s name surfaced as a potential option for the club’s attack.
According to SPORT, the Galatasaray striker has been offered to Barcelona through intermediaries in recent days, placing one of Europe’s most sought-after Centre-forwards on the club’s radar.
Despite the Nigerian’s reputation and proven goalscoring ability, however, Barcelona are not planning to alter their transfer strategy.
This is because the club continues to follow a roadmap established months ago, and that plan still revolves around a different attacking target.
Osimhen remains one of the most highly regarded strikers in world football and has long attracted interest from several elite clubs across Europe,
However, recognition of his talent does not automatically mean a move is likely.
Simply put, the Barcelona hierarchy does not currently consider his signing a priority, as they remain committed to the recruitment strategy that has been developed over recent months.

The key reason behind Barcelona’s stance is that Julian Alvarez remains the club’s preferred attacking target. Atletico have been firm in their stance that Julian is not for sale, but the player is said to be keen on joining Barcelona this summer, with PSG also interested.
It is known that Barcelona views the Atletico Madrid striker as the ideal reinforcement for Hansi Flick’s squad.
More importantly, there is a belief that a deal remains achievable despite the obvious complications involved.
Barcelona are fully aware that Atlético Madrid are unlikely to make negotiations easy, but they consider the current tensions to be a normal part of a major transfer operation.
On that note, the only way that can pave the way for Osimhen to join Barcelona is if the club fails to land Alvarez this summer.
