Newly promoted Nigeria Premier Football League side Ranchers Bees of Kaduna have strengthened their squad with the signing of experienced goalkeeper Alhassan Tofa from Green Berets on a one-year contract.

Speaking with the News Agency of Nigeria in Kaduna, the General Manager of  Ranchers Bees, Alhaji Kabiru Mu’azu, said Tofa signed a one-year contract with an option for an additional year.

Mu’azu expressed confidence that his experience and leadership would strengthen the team’s defensive unit.

He described the signing as another strategic step towards building a competitive squad capable of holding its own in the NPFL.

“Alhassan is a proven goalkeeper with quality, discipline and experience. We believe he will bring stability, confidence and healthy competition to our goalkeeping department.

“Our objective is to assemble a team that can compete successfully in the league, and Tofa fits perfectly into that vision,” he said.

The Head Coach,  Usman Abdallah, said the goalkeeper’s arrival would add depth and quality to the squad.

“Every successful team needs reliable players in every position. Tofa has demonstrated consistency over the years, and we are pleased to have him with us.

“He is hardworking, experienced and understands the demands of top-level football. We expect him to contribute immensely both on and off the pitch,” Abdallah said.

The club’s Chief Executive Officer, Sadiq Umar, popularly known as “Jololo,” welcomed the player, assuring supporters that management remained committed to recruiting quality talents.

“Our supporters deserve a team capable of making them proud. Every player we are bringing in shares our ambition of establishing Ranchers Bees as a strong NPFL side,” he said.

Speaking after completing the move, Tofa thanked the management for the confidence reposed in him.  “It is an honour to join a historic club like Ranchers Bees. I am ready to give my best, work with my teammates and help the club achieve its targets this season. “I cannot wait to meet our supporters and repay their faith with strong performances,” he said.

Ranchers Bees recently secured promotion to the NPFL and have continued strengthening their squad ahead of the new season with several key additions aimed at ensuring a successful return to Nigeria’s top-flight league.
