The Burial Committee, acting on behalf of the Njoku family, has unveiled a detailed programme of funeral activities for the late Sir Paddy Kemdi Njoku, — a revered administrator, community leader, and devout Catholic knight fondly addressed by his traditional title, Omenukoaku.

Dr. Njoku, who passed on in May 2026 at the age of 75, will be committed to mother earth following a series of solemn rites spanning the Federal Capital Territory and his ancestral hometown in Imo State.

Described by close associates as a man whose life was defined by service, integrity, and an unwavering commitment to humanity, Dr. Njoku carved a distinguished path across the fields of public administration and professional practice, while remaining a pillar in his Catholic faith and traditional community.

His titles — Knight of St. Sylvester, Knight of St. John International and Fellow of the Institute of Corporate and Management Consultants — reflect a lifetime of achievement recognised across religious, professional, and civic spheres.

According to the official schedule released by the Burial Committee Chairman, Engr. Jonny Chukwu, the obsequies will unfold in three major phases. A Requiem Mass will hold August 3, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., at the Catholic Church of the Assumption, Asokoro, Abuja, followed by
Service of Songs and Night of Tributes on August 4, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., at Boardwalk Fun City, Plot 1001, Ibrahim Tahir Lane, Utako, Abuja, where family, friends, colleagues, and admirers are expected to gather in celebration of his life and enduring legacy.

The Funeral Mass and Interment will holdnThursday, August 13, 2026, beginning at 12:00 noon, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church, Okwunakuwa, Uvuru, Aboh-Mbaise, Imo State, after which Dr. Njoku will be laid to rest.

The Burial Committee has extended an open invitation to friends, professional colleagues, associates, community leaders, and well-wishers to join the family in paying their final respects to a man whose imprint on his community and profession, they say, will echo through generations.

“As family, friends, and admirers gather to bid him farewell, they will celebrate the remarkable life and lasting legacy of Sir Paddy Kemdi Njoku, Omenukoaku — whose contributions will continue to inspire generations to come,” the committee stated.
