Nigerian entrepreneur Alhaji Abdulsamad Sanu-Harun-Idris, founder of Samado Juice, says the company has expanded its operations in Saudi Arabia, with 56 outlets now operating across the kingdom.

The expansion, according to Idris, is creating employment opportunities for young people while strengthening the presence of a Nigerian-owned business in the international market.

Idris said the growth of Samado Juice in Saudi Arabia had also earned him recognition in the country, including an award for his contribution to the business sector.

He described the recognition as an indication of the progress being made by Nigerian entrepreneurs who establish and manage businesses outside the country.

“The recognition further highlights my efforts as a Nigerian entrepreneur operating and managing a business in an international market,” he said.

According to him, the expansion demonstrates that Nigerian-owned enterprises can enter foreign markets, build sustainable operations and create jobs while competing in international business environments.

Samado Juice operates in Saudi Arabia’s food and beverage sector. Information published by Saudi Arabia’s National Franchise Company lists the brand as having been established in 2022, with its centre office in Dammam.

The Saudi Franchise Centre also lists Samado Juice as a food and restaurant-sector franchise opportunity, with a five-year franchise contract and a per-unit investment cost of less than 300,000 Saudi riyals.

The company’s expansion comes as Nigerian entrepreneurs increasingly seek opportunities beyond the domestic market, where access to larger consumer markets and international business networks can provide avenues for growth.

For Idris, the international expansion has also provided a platform for employment generation. He said young people are engaged in different aspects of the company’s operations as the business increases its footprint across Saudi Arabia.

Beyond his business activities, Idris has continued to participate in entrepreneurship and business-development programmes and gatherings in Nigeria, where he discusses opportunities available to young Nigerians.

He said the experience gained from operating in Saudi Arabia had reinforced the importance of creating an enabling environment for Nigerian businesses seeking to expand internationally.

“The expansion of Samado Juice demonstrates the potential for Nigerian-owned businesses to establish and grow their operations beyond the country while creating employment opportunities,” he said.

“With 56 outlets currently operating in Saudi Arabia, we continue to oversee the company’s activities as Samado Juice consolidates and expands its presence in the kingdom,” he said.

The development places Samado Juice among Nigerian-linked businesses building commercial footprints outside the country and highlights the potential for entrepreneurship to contribute to employment creation and international business participation.
