Big Brother Naija ‘Level Up’ winner, Phyna, has won ₦50 million, a brand-new car and a championship belt after defeating Nollywood actress Nkechi Blessing by a fourth-round technical knockout in a celebrity boxing bout in Lagos.
The entertainers faced off on Thursday, October 1, at the Federal Palace Hotel, Lagos, during Balmoral Promotions’ ‘Chaos in the Ring’ event, with Phyna securing the decisive victory in the fourth round to emerge winner of the female celebrity boxing contest.
The victory adds another dimension to Phyna’s career, four years after she rose to national prominence by winning the seventh season of Big Brother Naija in 2022.
The reality star had entered the boxing ring against Nkechi Blessing as part of the celebrity bouts featured at the event, which brought together personalities from Nigeria’s entertainment industry for specially organized boxing contests.
After the fight, Phyna shared photos of herself posing with her championship belt and reflected on her journey from reality television to the boxing ring.

“From reality TV to the boxing ring, I’ve always been willing to challenge myself, break barriers and prove that there is so much more to Phyna than what people see,” she wrote.
She also dedicated the victory to women who have been told they could not achieve certain things, using the occasion to highlight her belief in women pushing beyond societal expectations.
“This one is for every woman who has ever been told she couldn’t. We can, we will, and we absolutely should,” she said.
Phyna’s latest achievement comes after she won the 2022 edition of Big Brother Naija, where she emerged ahead of fellow housemate Bryann in the finale of the ‘Level Up’ season.
Since leaving the reality show, she has remained active in Nigeria’s entertainment industry, building a public profile through appearances, brand-related activities and other projects.
The ‘Chaos in the Ring’ event also featured other celebrity and professional boxing contests, reflecting the growing crossover between Nigeria’s entertainment industry and combat sports.
For Phyna, the victory provides another major career milestone, as the reality television winner adds a boxing title, ₦50 million in winnings and a new car to her list of achievements.
