Nollywood is mourning again as news filtered in on the demise of producer and director Steven Echendu just hours after the announcement of veteran actor Francis Duru’s passing.
Echendu’s colleague, Wisdom Nwankwo, announced the news in a Facebook tribute, saying he learnt of the death on Thursday.
Nwankwo described Echendu as one of the industry’s longstanding contributors, particularly through his association with Obs Production. He also lamented losing two colleagues within a short period.
“Oh Steven Real Stephen Echendu, it’s so painful to also learn of your passing yesterday,” he wrote.
Nwankwo also mourned Austinfair Nwaulu, a media professional involved in Nollywood activities, who he said died on Saturday and was buried on Tuesday.
