FC Robo Queens underlined their dominance in Lagos women’s football, winning the 2026 Lagos Federation Cup for a record 14th time.
The News Agency of Nigeria reports the NWFL Premiership side thrashed debutants Ghetto Tigers Ladies 4-0 in a thrilling final.
The entertaining encounter at Mobolaji Johnson Arena saw all four goals scored before half-time, sealing a comprehensive victory for Robo Queens.
Ghetto Tigers coach, Azeez Mustapha, said the result reflected his side’s inexperience.
He said: “I expected a 4-0 result. From their second-half display, the girls tried their best to prevent further goals.
“We presented a very young side, while Robo Queens had experienced players who have played abroad and returned for the competition.
“They also had players from the U-17 and U-20 camps who came back for the final. They left nothing to chance.”
Mustapha said reaching their first final against such opposition was daunting.

“I told the girls we would face a full-strength Robo Queens side, but some thought key players would not return.
“This is their 15th final, while this is our first. The difference in experience is clear.
“If we return next year, we will come back stronger. We are a young team, with an average age of about 15 in the NWFL Championship,” he said.
Robo Queens coach, Undubisi Esther, said attention had shifted to the national competition.
“Congratulations to us on winning this FA Cup. It is well deserved, and we hope to improve at the national level.
“We will not make promises we cannot keep. When we get to the national stage, we will take it step by step,” he said.
NAN reports that Robo Queens received N1.5 million and the trophy for their victory.
Dignitaries included NFF Technical Director, Austin Eguavoen, LSFA Chairman, Haji Liameed Gafar, and representatives of the Lagos White Cap Chiefs.
