“Masters of the Universe” debut earns N21m

At the West African box office

“Masters of the Universe”, distributed by Film One Entertainment, has grossed N21 million in its opening weekend at the West African box office.

The News Agency of Nigeria reports that the film “Masters of the Universe” emerged as the number one Hollywood movie of the weekend, reflecting a strong debut among cinema audiences across the region.

The action fantasy movie recorded the feat shortly after its release, attracting moviegoers and securing the top spot among Hollywood titles during the weekend.

In a statement shared on its Instagram page, the distributor expressed appreciation to audiences for their support.

“Thank you, West Africa, for a 21 million Naira opening weekend and making Masters of the Universe the number one Hollywood film of the weekend,” it said.

NAN reports that the film continues to screen in cinemas nationwide as it seeks to build on its opening weekend success.

With its strong debut performance and continued cinema run, the movie is expected to attract more audiences in the coming weeks.
