The Lagos State Police Command has arrested two suspects for allegedly kidnapping an online vendor who came to deliver a product in the Iyana-Ishashi area of the state.
The command’s spokesperson, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, said the victim had received an order and proceeded to the customer’s location when she was forcibly dragged inside by a man and a woman.
“They stripped her, beat her up, and took her nude pictures,” he said.
The suspects then demanded a ransom of N2 million, threatening to leak the images if she failed to comply. The victim, fearing for her safety, managed to transfer N300,000 on the spot before she was released.
“They continued to threaten her to pay the balance as promised,” Hundeyin said.
The victim later reported the incident to the police, leading to the arrest of the suspects.
“They were tracked and apprehended. Investigations are ongoing,” the spokesperson added.
