The Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria, FRCN, has donated a parcel of land to the Nigerian Institute of Public Relations, NIPR, for the construction of its long-awaited national headquarters.

The announcement was made following a collaborative meeting between executives of both institutions, signaling a strengthened partnership between Nigeria’s foremost public broadcasting service and its professional PR body.

The donated land is expected to serve as the site for a permanent, purpose-built headquarters to support the administrative and professional activities of the NIPR. The initiative is part of a broader national push to institutionalize strategic communication, ethics, and information management in both public and private sectors.

Officials from the NIPR have hailed the gesture as a “monumental contribution to the future of public relations in Nigeria,” emphasizing that the project will house training facili

ties, a media center, and offices to support national policy on communication and reputation management.

The FRCN, which has a rich legacy in broadcast journalism and public information dissemination, described the donation as part of its commitment to strengthening allied communication institutions and fostering a more robust national information ecosystem.

Further details on the land location, architectural plans, and timeline for construction are expected to be unveiled in the coming weeks.
