In a romance that has shocked, amused, and inspired many across continents, 68-year-old woman from the UK, Kay, has officially tied the knot with her 25-year-old Nigerian husband, Ablack — a man 43 years her junior.

Their unusual love story began with a simple Facebook interaction and blossomed into marriage despite their vast age difference and mounting public scrutiny.

The couple’s journey, which was featured on Love Don’t Judge, a documentary-style series by Truly, has sparked intense online discussion. Kay shared that the first connection happened when Ablack “liked” one of her posts. From there, a friendship quickly developed and deepened into a romantic relationship.

“He went from somebody who liked my post to my very best friend. I could tell him everything. It just kept getting stronger and stronger,” Kay said, describing the emotional bond that formed between them. Despite having gone through three failed marriages, she admitted that at first, she feared being scammed, especially given the age and geographical differences.

Their first physical meeting ended in a surprise proposal — just three days in — which Kay accepted, making Ablack her fourth husband. The pair have since faced immense public backlash. People have called Kay “crazy,” mocked their age difference, and some even accused her of being Ablack’s grandmother.

The criticisms, however, have not deterred the couple. Kay shared that she feels younger and more alive around Ablack. “I do not feel old when I’m around him. I feel like a teenager,” she said. “I’ve never felt love like this before. I just had to wait a long time for him to be born.”

Their long-distance romance — with Kay living in the United States and Ablack in Nigeria — also posed early challenges. Yet, Ablack believes their union is destiny-fulfilled. “A prophet told me I would marry a white woman. And here she is,” he said.

Still, the couple continues to be the target of online skepticism. Critics have speculated that Ablack is in it for a green card, and some online users made sarcastic remarks like “the prophet’s name is Visa.” Others suggested Kay’s financial status might be the real appeal for the much younger man.

Ablack acknowledged the negativity: “Some people say, ‘she’s old enough to be your mum’ or ‘your grandma’. But we don’t care. We love each other.”

Despite relentless judgment and whispers of “sugar mummy” dynamics, Kay and Ablack remain committed to proving the authenticity of their bond. “He treats me like a queen,” Kay said proudly. “I’m his priority.”

While critics may continue to question their motives, Kay and Ablack’s story stands as a testament to the unpredictable nature of love in the digital age.
