The articulated vehicle restrictions on traffic flow and careless parking along the Cele bus stop inward Tincan Port axis have been lifted by the Lagos state government.
The operation was verified by an update posted on Jubril Gawat’s “X” handle, where he serves as the state governor’s Senior Special Assistant.
Early on Friday, December 22, articulated trucks that disobeyed state government orders were removed by a team led by Olalekan Bakare Oki, General Manager of the Lagos State Traffic Management Authority, LASTMA.
Reporters were informed that the operation began at 12:30 a.m. and continued until dawn.
The operation was headed by the LASTMA Team, with support from Commander Mopol 20 and ACP Bayo Sulaiman, the head of the Special Intervention team.
Recall that multiple attempts to get the truckers and tankers off the axis have failed because the state’s order to leave was disregarded by stubborn drivers.

Gawat reported that Hon. Sola Giwa, Special Advisor on Transportation, had promised ongoing enforcement.
Giwa claimed that, the initial directive highlights the state government’s commitment to maintaining traffic flow and minimizing disturbances brought about by the heavy-duty vehicles’ continuous presence in the designated area.
