Eric Chelle was officially presented Monday as the new head coach of the Super Eagles at the Moshood Abiola National Stadium in Abuja.
The Nigeria Football Federation, NFF, recently announced Chelle as the 42nd substantive head coach of the national team.
The presentation was conducted in the media conference room of the stadium, with prominent NFF officials and members of the football community in attendance.

Chelle, a 47-year-old former Mali international, has been tasked with revitalizing Nigeria’s performance in the ongoing 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Super Eagles are currently positioned fifth in Group C, with only three points from four matches and no victories yet in the campaign.
Alongside his World Cup qualifying duties, Chelle will lead the home-based Super Eagles as they prepare for the 2024 African Nations Championship set to take place in Ivory Coast.
