The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board ,JAMB,has announced that it will begin the sale of Direct Entry (DE) forms for candidates seeking admission into higher institutions on Wednesday, March 12.
In a statement issued on Monday in Abuja by the board’s Communications Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, the registration is aimed at individuals holding degrees, diplomas, or A-level certificates who wish to further their education at universities of their choice.
The commencement of DE form sales follows the closure of registration for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination on Saturday, March 8, 2025.
Benjamin reported that JAMB recorded a total of 2,030,627 UTME registrations, 200,115 for the Mock-UTME, and 630 applications for the trial mock.

Benjamin also stressed the importance of meeting all entry requirements and warned that penalties would be imposed on candidates who submit false information.
“A special committee will be set up to verify all Advanced A Level Qualifications, and fraudulent results will lead to prosecution,” he said.
JAMB further advised that institutions should verify certificates directly before granting admissions. Registration for the DE forms will be available exclusively at JAMB Professional Registration Centres .
