President Bola Tinubu has appointed Dr. Mohammed Aminu as the new Registrar and Chief Executive Officer of the National Business and Technical Examinations Board, NABTEB.
Dr. Aminu, who holds a Ph.D. in Automobile Technology and a Master’s degree in Procurement and Supply Chain Management, brings a wealth of experience to the role.
In a statement from the president’s spokesman, Bayo Onanuga, it was stated that Aminu’s career spans 28 years in teaching, administration, research, and policy development.
Prior to his new appointment, he served as the Director of Procurement at the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure.
In his message to Aminu, President Tinubu urged him to use his extensive expertise to foster transformational leadership at NABTEB, ensuring the agency continues to play a vital role in assessing and certifying skilled human resources critical for Nigeria’s industrial growth.
Additionally, the president named Mr. Idris Olorunnimbe as the new Chairman of the Universal Basic Education Commission ,UBEC, Board.

Olorunnimbe, who has a strong background in innovative leadership and youth empowerment, previously served as the Group CEO of The Temple Company, a position he held since founding the organization in 2016.
His leadership has spanned various sectors, including education, entertainment, and sports.
Mr. Rasaq Olajuwon has been appointed as UBEC’s Deputy Executive Secretary (Technical), while Mr. Tunde Ajibulu will serve as the Deputy Executive Secretary (Services).
Olajuwon, before this appointment, was the Director of Administration and Human Resources at the Lagos State Infrastructure Maintenance and Regulatory Agency.
In welcoming the new appointees, President Tinubu called on them to strengthen the human capital necessary to drive educational reforms and improve service delivery at UBEC, with the goal of ensuring greater access to quality basic education across Nigeria.
