Grammy Awards-nominated artist Ahmed Ololade, better known as Asake, has patched things up with his father, Mr. Fatai Odunsi, and has vowed to cover his medical expenses and purchase a new home for him.
The reconciliation follows a viral video in which Mr. Odunsi made a public appeal for assistance.
In the video, he disclosed that he had suffered a stroke, leaving him paralyzed, and claimed that he hadn’t heard from Asake since March 2022.
He also mentioned that his calls to his son had gone unanswered and requested financial help for his treatment.
However, in a recent update on Sunday, Mr. Odunsi confirmed that Asake had re-established contact with him.

Speaking in Yoruba, he expressed pride in his son and offered blessings, explaining that his earlier outburst stemmed from frustration over their long separation.
“His mother should ask him when was the last time he saw me. That’s what made me angry, but we’ve worked through everything. We’re no longer fighting,” Odunsi said.
He went on to share that Asake had already taken steps to purchase a new house for him through real estate agents.
“Asake said he will do everything I want. We have resolved everything. No more issues. They are currently looking for a house for me,” Odunsi explained.
Additionally, Mr. Odunsi disclosed that Asake has also committed to fully supporting his 11-year-old daughter, Zeenat, stating, “He has never denied her, but now he has promised to take full responsibility for her.”
