Troops across Nigeria have sustained coordinated ground and air offensives eliminating scores of terrorists and rescuing kidnapped victims.
This was disclosed by the Director, Defence Media Operations, Maj.-Gen. Markus Kangye, during a briefing on military operations conducted between April 10 and April 17 across various theatres.
He said the military, in collaboration with other security agencies and hybrid forces, maintained the momentum in its fight against terrorism and other criminalities, recording notable breakthroughs.
Kangye commended the troops for displaying bravery, discipline, and professionalism despite the evolving security threats, noting that numerous insurgents were neutralised, hostages rescued, suspects apprehended, and stolen crude oil and weapons recovered.
In the North East, troops of Operation Hadin Kai facilitated the surrender of scores of terrorists, including adult males, females, and children.
Operations carried out with hybrid forces in Konduga, Kukawa, Abadam, and Mobbar in Borno, as well as Gujba in Yobe, led to the recovery of logistics, vehicles, and motorcycles from intercepted terrorist suppliers.
