Alhaji Musediq Adeniji Kazeem, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Lagos Attorney General, has been elected National President of Ansar-Ud-Deen Society.

His emergence followed the 11th Triennial National Conference of the Society, held recently in Abeokuta, Ogun State.

The event also marked the Society’s 101st anniversary and attracted dignitaries and members from across the country.

The Society’s National Publicity Secretary, Dr. Muhammad Hassan, announced the outcome, which also included key appointments into the executive council.

Dr. Ibrahim Yusuf was named Deputy President, while Alhaji Najeem Yasin took the position of Vice President (North).

Other regional vice presidents are Alhaji Nurudeen Okunleye (Lagos), Alhaji Jimoh Popoola (Ogun), Retired Justice Moshood Ajeigbe (Osun), Alhaji Tesleem Adediran (Oyo), Alhaji Sulaiman Ogunlayi (Ekiti), and Alhaji Yusuf Adesina Soliu (Ondo).

Also, Alhaji Abdul-Rahman Olabode Salaudeen was appointed as the new National Secretary, alongside several others tasked with steering the Society’s activities nationwide.

In his acceptance speech, Kazeem, a Senior Advocate of Nigeria and former Lagos State Commissioner for Justice, promised to lead with transparency and dedication to Islamic values.

He pledged to promote unity, youth empowerment, and strategic partnerships to enhance the Society’s impact.

Highlighting his focus areas, the new president listed educational advancement, leadership development, outreach, and transparency as top priorities.

Among the key initiatives is the reform of Summit University’s management, increased investment in research, and training for academic staff. He also plans to expand access to quality education through Ansar-Ud-Deen schools across Nigeria.

Kazeem unveiled plans to establish Ansar-Ud-Deen Heritage Centres dedicated to preserving and showcasing Islamic history, art, and scholarship.

The newly introduced AnsarCare Initiative will offer medical aid and vocational training to widows and orphans.

In addition, a digital portal will be launched to track Society projects, finances, and gather member feedback.

President Bola Tinubu, represented by Ogun State Deputy Governor Noimot Salako-Oyedele, lauded the Society’s contributions and urged the new leadership to uphold justice, unity, and peace.
