The Katsina Emirate Council has appointed six new district heads, including former Minister of Aviation, Senator Hadi Sirika, and Umar Radda, son of the Katsina State Governor, Dikko Radda.

The announcement was made on Saturday in Katsina through a statement issued by Alhaji Bello Ifo, Secretary to the Emirate Council.

In the statement, Senator Sirika was appointed Marusan Katsina, District Head of Shargalle in Dutsi Local Government Area. Umar Radda received the title Gwagwaren Katsina, and will serve as the District Head of Radda in Charanchi Local Government.

Four other individuals were also honoured with district titles:

Alhaji Sanusi Kabir-Usman, named Karshin Katsina, becomes the District Head of Shinkafi in Kaita LGA.

Alhaji Ahmad Abdulmumini-Kabir, now Dan-Majen Katsina, is the new District Head of Dankama, also in Kaita LGA.

Alhaji Abubakar Dardisu, titled Sarkin Mudurun Katsina, was appointed District Head of Muduru in Mani LGA.

Alhaji Gambo Abdullahi, now Dausayin Katsina, takes over as District Head of Dabai in Danja LGA.

The statement confirmed that all appointments take immediate effect from Saturday.

These appointments are part of the Emirate’s ongoing effort to strengthen traditional governance, promote grassroots leadership, and improve administrative coverage in local communities.
