Nollywood actress Evan Okoro has publicly admitted that her marriage to Prince Chibuzor Nwachimelueze has crashed barely four months after their traditional wedding.
In a Facebook post on Saturday, Okoro wrote:
“Please there is no wedding planning with me, with another. Yes, I’m just a victim.
Take this man’s name off my neck, allow me to heal in peace.”
Okoro’s traditional marriage, held in April, was initially met with fanfare.
The actress shared photos and videos of her new husband on social media, drawing warm messages of congratulations from friends and colleagues in the industry.
But the bliss was short-lived. By July, cracks began to show.
Okoro lamented that her husband had not completed the bride price process with her family.
She further alleged that he tried to take control of her finances and later withdrew affection.

The actress recounted how a Lagos endorsement deal turned violent after he allegedly attempted to seize her payment.
Her most troubling claim was that the marriage became life-threatening.
She said he warned her that leaving him could cost her life, prompting her to lodge a petition with the police.
Her latest outburst has stirred sharp reactions on Facebook, with comments ranging from sympathy to skepticism.
Some fans prayed for her well-being and urged her to focus on healing. One commenter wrote:
“My dear, may God strengthen you. Please take your time and heal in peace.”
Others reminded her that they had cautioned her before the marriage.
A user stated:
“I remember when people were telling Evan Okoro that her husband is a wife bèàter and she shouldn’t proceed to marry him.”
Not all were convinced. Some accused her of chasing attention. One post read:
“Evan Okoro is doing content and nothing more, the joke is too expensive.”
A section of her audience expressed frustration over the constant updates:
“Ever since you got married to that small boy wey go soon leave you, you never allow us get rest.”
Evan Okoro insists she is not seeking pity or money but simply wants her name separated from marriage gossip and her husband’s identity.
“I just want to live and heal,” she said earlier, warning that continued pressure could break her.
While Evan Okoro insists she is simply a victim trying to reclaim her peace, her public struggle has become a subject of divided opinion.
At this point, nobody knows for certain whether her story reflects the painful truth of a broken marriage or if, as many fans argue, it is just another round of celebrity content designed to pull attention.
