Today, we celebrate a towering gentleman, a patriot-scholar, and a custodian of enduring values — Chief Izoma Philip Asiodu — on the remarkable occasion of his 92nd birthday.
At ninety-two, Chief Asiodu stands not merely as a witness to history, but as one of its quiet architects. His life reflects discipline, dignity, intellectual depth, and unwavering commitment to nation-building. In an era that tested character and conviction, he exemplified both — with grace.
As a distinguished alumnus of King’s College Lagos, he embodies the finest ideals of our alma mater: integrity, excellence, leadership, and service. King’s College has long been a crucible for shaping men of character who contribute meaningfully to Nigeria and beyond. Chief Asiodu has not only upheld that tradition — he has elevated it. As Chairman Board of Trustees of King’s College Old Boys Association-KCOBA, he has given meaning to exemplary leadership.

For those of us privileged to walk the same historic grounds of King’s College Lagos, his life is both inspiration and compass. He reminds us that true greatness is not loud; it is steady. It is built over decades of principled choices, quiet sacrifices, and steadfast dedication to family, community, and country.
Ninety-two years is a milestone that commands reverence. It speaks of resilience through seasons of change, wisdom earned through experience, and a legacy firmly rooted in service and honour. His journey mirrors the story of our nation — challenging at times, yet sustained by hope and anchored in faith.
On this special day, we celebrate not only longevity, but impact. Not merely years lived, but values transmitted. Chief Asiphodu’s life assures younger generations that character remains the ultimate currency of leadership.
May the Almighty grant him continued strength, sound health, and abiding peace. May his days be filled with the joy of seeing the seeds he has sown flourish in the lives of those he has mentored and inspired.
Happy 92nd Birthday, Sir.
Your legacy endures and Floreat Collegium!
