The Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, APC, in the Federal Capital Territory, Ishaku Yamawo, says President Bola Tinubu’s achievements will earn him re-election in the 2027 presidential election.
Yamawo made the assertion in Abuja at the unveiling of “Project 4+4 for Tinubu/Shettima 2027,” organized by the Forum of 2027 APC Female Aspirants and Candidates Network, FAFAN, and the Traditional and Religious Women Leaders Network, TARWLN-RHA.
He said administration had recorded achievements across various sectors, expressing confidence that Nigerians would support Tinubu’s for another four-year term to sustain the ongoing reforms and projects.
“Looking at the record so far, Mr. President has performed excellently. In the political setting, you hardly see 70-80% agreeing to the government in power because of some policy.
“I want to assure you, come 2027, Nigeria will be a different country from what we are facing today. If you are talking of insecurity, the challenge is winding down gradually,” Yamawo said.
The APC chairman maintained that Nigerians had benefited from the administration’s policies and projects, arguing that continuity was necessary to consolidate the gains recorded so far.
“I’m fully convinced that Nigerians are going to vote for Mr. President and other candidates of our party in Nigeria,” he said.
Speaking on developments in the FCT, Yamawo said the Tinubu administration had addressed some longstanding concerns relating to representation and infrastructure in the territory.

He noted that the FCT now had an indigene serving in the Federal Executive Council, describing it as an important development for residents and original inhabitants of the territory. “I think Mr. President has done everything for us as people of FCT; the residents and the original inhabitants.
“Before now, we don’t have a representative in the Federal Executive Council. Today, we have a minister that is an indigene of FCT,” he said.
Yamawo also pointed to ongoing road construction and street-lighting projects in some FCT communities as evidence of the administration’s efforts to extend infrastructure development to rural areas.
“Go to villages like Dangara, Gomani Road. But today, you have roads with streetlights from Dangara and Gomani communities,” he added.
The event also featured the inauguration of National, Zonal and State Coordinators of FAFAN and TARWLN, as well as the endorsement of President Tinubu, Vice President Kashim Shettima and APC female candidates ahead of the 2027 elections.
The Chairman of the occasion, James Faleke, said the project, tagged “Operation Water the Ground – Get Out the Vote,” was designed to begin early grassroots mobilization ahead of the 2027 general elections.
He said the initiative would focus on strengthening the party’s grassroots structures and mobilizing voters in support of the APC candidates.
