The National Identity Management Commission ,NIMC, has cautioned Nigerians against altering their National Identification Number, NIN, data on unauthorized websites.
Dr. Kayode Adegoke, Head of Corporate Communications at NIMC, in a statement on Monday advised that such modifications should only be made through the official NIMC self-service portal.
Adegoke explained that using unapproved websites to modify NIN data could expose individuals to identity theft and compromise personal information.
