Opara Macdonald, the Chief Executive Officer of Leuven Empire Hotel and Suites in the Ejigbo area of Lagos State, sexually assaulted a 16-year-old boy .
The incident was reported to the Nigerian Police Force after the teenager confided in his mother.
Christian Edozie, the father of the 16-year-old boy raped by a hotel owner in Lagos, said he was still in shocked and traumatized by the incident that happened to his son.
“There are some calls that I don’t receive because of the shock of the trauma and everything. My head is full”, he said during a brief interview.
The Lagos State Police Zone 2 confirmed that the accused has been charged to court while the investigation into the matter remains ongoing.
Opara was arrested following a petition filed by Edozie.
As stated by the police, preliminary investigations disclosed that Opara lured the minor who came to record TikTok videos at his hotel to his residence, where he sexually assaulted him.

He also allegedly gave the teenage boy 5000 naira and a bottle of Lucozade Boost. Opara then allegedly threatened the minor against disclosing the matter to anyone, warning that he would run mad if he told anyone.
“The victim narrated how the suspect had taken him from the hotel in his vehicle to his residence at No. 4B, Oshoba Street, Akowonjo-Egbeda, Lagos, where he was forcefully subjected to unlawful sexual acts,” a police spokesperson told journalists during a recent press briefing.
After learning of the incident, the victim’s parents reported it to the Isheri-Osun Police Division.
In an interview with the police, Opara confessed to having sex with the minor.
“I swear on my life that all I had with him was sex, I swear on the graves of my parents and in the name of my children that I did nothing ritualistic. I didn’t take him to a shrine, didn’t take his picture, nor did I make any oath or perform any ritual against this boy. My money is clean,” Opara stated during his interrogation.
The teenage boy was examined by specialists at the Mirabel Centre, and police said he was severely traumatised from the incident.
