The Social Democratic Party’s presidential candidate in 2023, Adewole Adebayo has described the arrival of Nasir el-Rufai as a step towards good governance.

Adebayo, in a statement on his X handle, praised el-Rufai as a “hardworking and sagacious” leader whose inclusion in the party strengthens efforts against poverty and insecurity.

“With the hardworking Malam joining our ranks, an avid worker for the people has been enlisted in our forces against bad governance and underdevelopment,” he stated.

The SDP chieftain urged all genuine democrats and nationalists who value order, decency, and honesty to align with the party’s vision, emphasizing that SDP is built on the rule of law rather than personal ambition or financial influence.

He stressed that good politics fosters good governance and called on Nigerians to actively participate in shaping the nation’s future.

“Let no one sit on the fence any further. There is no time to waste. Join us on the march again!” Adebayo urged.
