The Federal Executive Council, FEC, has extended warm Easter greetings to Christians across the country, urging them to reflect on the values of love, sacrifice, and forgiveness as demonstrated by Jesus Christ.
The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator George Akume conveyed the Council’s goodwill message in celebration of Easter.
Senator Akume described the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ as a symbol of hope, salvation, and liberation for Christians, calling it a profound expression of sacrificial love.

He encouraged the faithful to emulate Christ’s exemplary lifestyle and teachings, especially on values such as selflessness, patience, and forgiveness.
The SGF also called on Nigerians to pray for national peace and unity, urging citizens to rally behind President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda aimed at building a more prosperous Nigeria.
The Federal Executive Council concluded by wishing all Christian faithful a reflective Good Friday and a joyous Easter celebration.
