Kwara State University, KWASU, at Malete has officially matriculated 13,602 new students for the 2024/2025 academic session.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof. Shayk-Luqman Jimoh, at the matriculation ceremony held on Thursday at the university’s campus in Malete, disclosed that 25,946 candidates applied for admission into various academic programmes for the 2024/2025 session.
He highlighted the historic significance of the event, noting that it marked the university’s first set of students admitted into 10 newly accredited programmes, including Mining Engineering, Cybersecurity, Criminology and Security Studies, and Human Anatomy.
The Vice Chancellor urged the fresh students to seize the opportunities available at KWASU, including cutting-edge learning resources, to advance their academic careers.
